TSTV Set To Give Out 5,000 Free Decoders To The Public.

The Telecom Satelite Television(TSTV) Cable service provider, has assured the Nigerian to commenced its operation by November 1, 2017, and also promising the citizen to give away 5,000 decoders to the public and would also be installed for the public to enable them test run the service and begin commercial operation by November 1.

Bright Echefu,  Managing Director of TSTV, has made this known to the newsmen while briefing them on the commercialization of Tstv to commence it's operation earlier November on Saturday in Abuja. It was also added that Bright said, TSTV would officially launch its service with more than one million decoders across the nation.

However, Mr. Echefu said at least 5,000 TSTV decoders would be distributed to the public next week for free, which will be the first set of decoders to be released along with the one-month  subscription for free to test run its services.

According to the managing director of TSTV Mr. Echefu, said: the company will begin its commercialization of the decoders which will resume officially on November 1 and we believe by that time, every part of Nigeria would have TSTV decoders for people to buy.

He also said we are targeting four million units within the next year in which in every quarter, we will bring one million units and we are also assuring the public that decoders will be released next week to cover the 36 states across the federation.

He said we delay the releasing of the decoders to the public because we don't want the decoders to get to the wrong dealers so we are scrutinized them properly not fall into the wrong hands. and also added that the decoder would be sold to the customers.
He explained further that the decoder would be sold to Nigerians at an affordable price.

According to him, the landing cost of the decoder is N28,000.
Echefu said: “We don’t want a situation where someone would pick our decoders and dump them somewhere.
We have been receiving more than 4000 individuals who want to be our dealers across Nigeria and we only discover just 750 out of them as original leaders and we are conducting diligent checks on them.

Following this week or next week, we are verifying them and full accreditation of dealers would be completed and rolled out the decoders.

Mr. Echefu said the organization would be envied because of the measure they had put in place to ensure it's sustainability in terms of good terms service also, pledging them in the next ten years.

He also unveils that the organization currently has only 250 staff on direct employment, while it expects  10000 to be engaged indirectly at take off. According to Mr. Bright, TSTV has highly improved on its transmission facilities to surmount weather challenges, while expressing happiness over the acceptance by Nigerians.

He extends his greetings to the Federal Government for giving them three-year tax relief granted to the company to persuade more investors to come to Nigeria.

TSTV company would consolidate on the new tax policy to grow its business in the country and recoup its investment. Echefu said 

According to him, TSTV will also air CNN and beIN sports channels.
